BIOGRAPHY

 

Ø      Started as a Correction Officer at MCI-Cedar-Junction.

Ø      Worked as a Correction Officer II (Sergeant) at MCI-Norfolk and LSH.

Ø      Presently a Correction Officer III (Lieutenant) at Baystate Correctional Center.

Ø      Served on the Tactical Response Team.

Ø      Masters Degree-Criminal Justice. Anna Maria College.

Ø      Bachelors Degree-Criminal Justice. College of Public and Community service. University Of Massachusetts, Boston.

Ø      Past candidate for the State Board of Retirement. I ran in an effort to aid Correction officers with the many retirement issues we had at the time. I was proud to have received hundreds of votes from active and retired members of The Massachusetts Correction Officers Federated Union (M.C.O.F.U.).

Ø      In 2000 I was elected to a three-year term as a Town Meeting Representative. Town Meeting Representatives are the legislative and policy making body of town government. Duties include raising and appropriating funds and to administer town operations. I was always available to anyone in my Precinct with a problem, question, comment or idea.

Ø      Former Teamster.

Ø      I come from a family of union workers, union activists and elected public officials.
